Stain Removal Tips
Here's Some Easy Guidelines for Stain Removal
- Immediately use a towel or some sort of absorbent material to take as much liquid out. Do not let the liquid stain sit there. Once it sits for awhile, the stain will be harder to remove.
- If it is a solid stain, try to take it off by scrapping it around the edges with something that is not sharp. Any sharp objects can and may hurt the carpet. Remember, scrape do not scrub. Scrubbing can get the stain to set into the carpet.
- After you follow the previous instructions, run a vacuum over the stained area. Next, you need to get another absorbent material, and apply a small amount of spot removal agent to that absorbant material. Work from the outside of the stain to the inside of it. Keep repeating this process using another clean spot of the towel or whatever you may be using.
- After you remove the stain, rinse the stained area with water adn blot it dry. Do not over wet the carpet, this can cause damage to it.
